Conference - Refugee integration in Hungary
Menedék - Hungarian Association for Migrants held a hybrid conference on 29 November 2021, with the audience following the presentations at the conference venue in Budapest but also in a Facebook live stream.Presenters sought answers to questions such as: what characterizes the chances of integration of international protection beneficiaries in Hungary? What are the processes that can be identified concerning the labour market, education, housing and healthcare services in Hungary? Compared to other European countries, how inclusive is Hungary?
The keynote speaker of the conference was Alexander Wolffhardt from the Migration Policy Group, followed by a roundtable discussion with representatives of the UNHCR and Hungarian civil society organizations. The research team of the Menedék Association presented the results of policy briefs and analysis carried out in the framework of the NIEM project and the V4NIEM sub-project focusing on V4 countries.
