ISMU supports the Italian National Contact Point within the European Migration Network
Ismu Foundation is the service provider supporting the Italian Ministry of Interior being the National Contact Point (NCP) within the European Migration Network (EMN).
Ismu will work with the Italian National Authority to update the European Commission and other Member States on the Italian migration framework.
The EMN plays a key role in providing up-to-date, objective, reliable and comparable information on migration and asylum topics to policy makers (at EU and Member State level) and the general public. Council Decision 2008/381/EC establishing a legal basis for the EMN was adopted on 14th May 2008.
The EMN responds to information needs through its reports and studies, Ad-Hoc Queries, informs (policy briefs), bulletins and policy factsheets. All EMN products are available on (this) the website https://ec.europa.eu/home-
The network’s key strength is to collect, document and make available to policymakers, practitioners and other interested parties information and statistics held or collected at national and EU level.
Integration of beneficiaries of international protection is one of the today key topics across EU Member States, letting take advantages from a fruitful synergy between EMN and NIEM, thus enriching both projects.
