Lithuania 13th coalition meeting

On 19th of November 2020 the Diversity Development Group had the 13th coalition meeting for the project “National Integration and Evaluation Mechanism” (NIEM). The meeting was held online.

Focus of the event was a comparison of data and findings from different researches, including NIEM, regarding migration and migrant integration policies in Lithuania. Meeting was organized in collaboration with MPG and included presentation of MIPEX 2020 research results.  Representatives from UNHCR Lithuania and the Nordic and Baltic Countries were participating and presenting results of the research done on refugee integration. Lithuanian Social Research Centre, Institute for Ethnic Studies presented findings from public attitudes research towards migrants. Diversity Development Group presented key findings from different researches on migration and migrant integration policies in Lithuania carried out by the organization. The event was finalized with the discussion regarding migration policies in Lithuania.

The 37 event’s participants included the main stakeholders working in the migration area: Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Social Security and Labour, UNHCR Lithuania, Caritas Lithuania, Vilnius city municipality, as well as representatives from MPG, UNHCR of the Nordic and Baltic Countries, Lithuanian Social Research Centre and the Institute for Ethnic Studies.
