The comparative report launched among EC officers

The project partners: Migration Policy Group (MPG, Belgium), leading organization of the project research along with the Institute of Public Affairs (IPA, Poland) and France Terre d’Asile (FTDA, France), presented comparative results from the newest project baseline comparative study “The European benchmark for refugee integration: A comparative analysis of the National Integration Evaluation Mechanism in 14 EU countries” .

Moreover, the panellists  discussed  the impact of advocacy work based on the project research with officers from DG for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. The meeting took place in the EC premises 2nd of July and gathered c. 25 participants. In the first part a representative of IPA presented the project design, what was followed by research-oriented MPG presentation. Alexander Wolffhardt and Carmine Conte from MPG discussed research objectives, methodology, indicators and key comparative results from the report. Case of France presented by Alexia Duvernoy from FTDA, was used as an example of advocacy work within the project. Participants were interested in the methodology of comparative research, interpretation of different indicators, approach to mainstreaming and targeted integration policies for beneficiaries of international protection among other issues. Similar meeting is planned after next evaluation round and publication of the new report.
