Vietnam Community supports Poland in combating coronavirus

We are here and we want to be part of Poland! – said the vice president of Vietnamese Association in Poland.

As soon as Poland faced the risk of  COVID-19 epidemic and stared to provide preventive measures the Vietnam Community joined common actions on a wide.

Raising funds, sewing masks and preparing meals  Vietnamese support hospitals and medical centres in Warsaw, Łódz and Piaseczno.

On March 29, the plane with medical equipment landed in Warsaw. Polish hospitals received 4.1 thousand tests and 1000 protective suits were donated by the Vietnam Community and VIFON Vietnam.  Few days earlier, on 27th of March, the Association of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs donated 1,000 masks and 500 pairs of gloves to the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw and 200 masks for the Bielański Hospital.

The other example comes from Łódz. When the Institute of the Polish Mother's Health Center  appealed to citizens for help in collecting protection articles for nurses, Vietnamese raised funds and handed 38 thousand pairs of gloves and 60 packages of towels.
Similar actions take place in Piaseczno, where members of the local Vietnam Community provide masks, disinfection plates and food support to hospitals, social workers from the Lesznowola Municipal Social Assistance Center, Lesznowola Municipal Office and the fire department.

Vietnamese Association also provide informational campaigns and support for the members of the community, translating statements of the Ministry of Health, the National Health Fund and the Main Sanitary Inspectorate.
