Złote Wachlarze Award 2019

On 17th December 2019, IOM Międzynarodowa Organizacja do Spraw Migracji - Agenda ONZ ds. Migracji organized the ceremony of the Złote Wachlarze Award.

The event was inaugurated in 2013 to honor activists and institutions specifically working for and supporting integration of migrants in Poland, building and developing good practices in the field of migration and integration.

Candidates are nominated by public institutions, NGOs and companies dealing directly or indirectly with migration issues.

The Award winners of 2019 were:

• Izabela Czerniejewska project coordinator for Migrant Info Point in Poznan, member of the municipal team for equality and diversity policy and researcher specialised in the education of children with migration experiences.
• Leyla Elsanova, educator and cultural mentor, cooperates with the Ocalenie Foundation and the Help Centre for Foreigners in Warsaw.
• Teatr Powszechny, theatre and cultural institution was recognized for including art in the discourse on migration and including migrants in culture.
